Our season, as well as this blog, began today with our first game at home against Siena. Unfortunately, this blog is going to start off on a sour note since we lost 2-1. This preseason has been really frustrating because our team has been plagued by injuries. Kelly Niland, Kelly Kuss, and Jaime Dennison, all players who started for us last year, are out with knee injuries. Then, during the first 40 seconds of our game today, Megan Bergman, a junior starter, also injured her knee. These injuries make things a bit more difficult, but they need to give us more of a reason to win, rather than an excuse to lose. We started to connect more during the game today, and hopefully by our next game, we'll have sorted most things out. The good news is that our game today was against a non-Patriot League team, which means that this game doesn't really affect us much in the long run. We have a lot of work cut out for us, but our team is ready to go.
Well done on this blog Jackie! It's so good to be electronically updated on the the team from a player perspective. I will continue to follow your season, and I think of you all so often. I'm sure the training staff this year is taking such good care of everyone. I hope this finds you well and pass that along!

That was a tough game on Saturday. I thought a lot of the freshmen played well, and once the team gets used to playing without the girls who are injured, I'm sure you'll be putting up lots of W's!

Hey good luck this season to you and the girls. Good blog by the way but spice it up a little bit like put in a bank robery scene or something like your bus got in a high speed chase with the canadian police and you had to race back across the border. yeah that sounds good stick with that.
p.s. good luck, have fun. It never lasts forever.
