I am currently in the process of moving into my new place. I spent the majority of the weekend Uhauling my stuff between my parent's place, my old place, and my new house. My room and the house look like a hurricane of mesiness has swept through it... But, give it a week and our place will be looking pretty awesome.
The weekend was also spent enjoying the Halloween festivities. My roommates and a few friends made our way to the Castro, an area notoriously known for lavished costumes and really fun Halloween parties. We ended up at a Halloween party of an '04 Colgate alum where I saw Colgaters I did not know were out here, and made it to another house party where I ran into 4 elementary, middle, and high school classmates... It's such a small world in San Francisco!
On Sunday afternoon, Sarah Reynolds '07 got a group of us together to check out the Bridge School Benefit concert at the Shoreline Amplitheatre in Mountain View. Performing at the concert was:
Neil Young, Metallica, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tom Waits with Kronos Quartet, John Mayer, My Morning Jacket, Tegan & Sara, Regina Spektor
It was a really great show and it could not have been a better day to enjoy it. Despite a hectic weekend filled with moving, I managed to get some R&R.
So, now its Monday, but its an interesting one given that I will be taking an entirely new bus route to get to and from work. Change is refreshing... so long as I don't have to get a Uhaul to make that change possible.
