It is my sincerest hope that all has been well with you- my esteemed readers. It is with relief that i finally make a debut to this semester's blog post. As you may have guessed, its been a rough spring semester for me...totally rough. Not that Colgate isn't a nice place.....noooooo...its just that i have been extremely busy but things are starting to loosen up. I mean it's part of the whole college experience and again who said that life will always be smooth. We all encounter ups and downs at one time or the other. Anyway, too much of what has been happening to me, let me now get down to business.
This semester has been kinda AMAZING for me apart from the unpredictable weather that we continue to experience. For me it all started with the participation in this group called NCBI. This group is absolutely new on campus and its main agenda will be to create coalitions across campus which i think will be an amazing thing for all students on campus. Next on line was the commemoration of the founders of the ALANA Cultural Center. This event was characterized by alums from all years since 1969 to date. We enjoyed a cocktail social before having dinner at the Ho science Center. It was more than amazing to hear the stories of how the cultural center came to be....and i convey my sincerest Respect and Gratitude to those who devoted their time to make sure that a cultural center came to be.

Following the commemoration, there was a GREAT display of God's Power at the school chapel by the one and only Kirk Franklin. I must say that it was a privilege to see him face to face. I can recall vividly how the spirit of the lord touched the people in the Chapel. People danced and sang like never before....I being one of them, i can testify that i haven't danced that much in the House of the Lord. It was what i call being touched by the Holy Ghost. I can only describe that day with two words...Absolutely Phenomenal. All this was thanks to a student- Meriden Weems (who happened to be one of the blog writers last year) and the very dedicated Thomas Cruz- Soto (Director ALANA Cultural Center). You can check out the pictures attached to this posting.
So yeah, those have been the climax events of this semester but i will keep you posted on the events that continue to rock the Colgate campus not forgetting my own experiences too.
Myself, 2 current students and two alums- (the two guys on the left).
